Water conservancy projects are often located in remote mountainous areas, where signal coverage is limited. The hydropower station served by Lintratek is located in the Yarlung Zangbo River at an altitude of 3,500 meters. Due to the rugged terrain and complex construction structure, the project office area, living area, and tunnels under the dam are almost all in the signal blind zone, which directly affects the project command and dispatch and personnel safety.
To address the mountain’s obstruction and complex architecture, the Lintratek technical team customized a combined “point-to-point signal enhancement + distributed coverage” solution. By deploying high-gain signal enhancement equipment, they broke through the mountain barrier and brought external signals into the core area. Furthermore, a distributed antenna system was deployed within the tunnel, achieving full signal coverage from offices and living areas to the construction tunnel, ensuring smooth communication during construction and subsequent operations.
Lintratek’s technical team surveyed the tunnels, then rolled out a tailor-made plan: industrial-grade fiber backbones plus pinpoint mobile signal booster nodes every few hundred metres. Adaptive power control cuts through the electromagnetic clutter. Result: 4G/5G signal strength jumped more than 90 %, and every sensor now streams data in real time—giving the power station the rock-solid connectivity it needs for smart intelligent operations and maintenance.
