Challenge: Due to its large area and deep underground location, signals are hard to penetrate. Before coverage enhancement, there was no signal from Chinas three major telecom operators in the area.

Client Needs and Project Features

Currently, newly built residential communities in China must meet technical standards for communication supporting projects. Public areas like underground parking lots require signal coverage; otherwise, the project cannot be delivered.

 

Key Requirement: The client had extremely high demands for the reliability and technical adaptability of communication equipment. They required full signal coverage without blind spots in the underground parking lot, which meant enhancing the call quality and 4G/5G network signals of Chinas three major telecom operators.

 

Challenge: The parking lot had a large area and was deeply underground. Electromagnetic waves attenuated rapidly in the enclosed space, making it difficult to cover with traditional base stations.

 

Solution Design and Implementation

After initial online communication and on-site surveys, our team adopted the “Specialized Signal Coverage System for Residential Underground Parking Lots”. This solution uses optical signal conversion to achieve long-distance transmission with low loss.

 

The  fiber optic signal repeater used in this solution offers advantages such as signal interference shielding, radiation prevention, and IP65 waterproof and moisture-proof performance. It supports ultra-long-distance transmission, is suitable for large-scale projects, and can be configured into multiple coverage modes.

The host converts mobile communication signals into optical signals, which are transmitted from the ground to the underground via optical fibersminimizing interference and loss. We installed receiving antennas above ground to capture signal sources and deployed transmitting antennas underground according to the signal point map.

 

Find the signal source and configure the receiving antenna outdoors, and configure the transmitting antenna indoors based on the point map.

 

To address potential on-site emergencies, Lintrateks communication team prepared two backup signal coverage plans. All three plans (the main plan and two backups) can be combined based on on-site conditions, eliminating the need for rigid, one-size-fits-all configurations.
